Life Update!

Hello blog world!

It's pretty par for the course for me to create a blog I really love and then completely fall of, but I'm going to give it a try again. So let me give you a little life update!

Last I wrote my boyfriend Andy and I were getting ready to move in together - we did move into that apartment, but we moved out a day later due to the apartment not really being livable. I'd really love to write an entire blog post about that unbelievable shit storm, but we signed a non-disclosure agreement of sorts so I'll just leave it at that. Luckily, the stars re-aligned for us and we were able to find a much better, bigger, and cheaper apartment a bit closer to both our families that we moved into in December and I love it! However, the BEST life event would be that we adopted our sweet baby kitten Frederick. I'm completely obsessed with him and will probably be writing about and posting pictures of him very often, so just get ready.

Since there were so many issues, stress and confusion with our move in October and then back home and then apartment hunting again and then moving again, I really got off track with my diet and exercise. I simply didn't have the time to devote to meal planning, shopping and working out. I've noticed a huge difference in myself not eating clean and not exercising. I feel like I have a cold most of the time (although that could be due to the frigid winter temperatures) and I'm fatigued almost always. I also feel that not eating clean and exercising affects my mood as well, I'm certainly not as happy as I was on a daily basis. Now that I've settled into a new routine in our new place, I am hoping to use the blog as a place to document my diet and exercise as well as hold myself accountable.

I am going to be restarting the Sweat app tomorrow, which is what I had been using last year from about July to September. I love that the workouts are only 28 minutes long, which makes them very easy to fit into your weekday schedule. I usually come home from work and immediately do my workout to get it done. By the time I'm done working out I can start dinner and Andy will be arriving home.

I'm excited to get back into the swing of things and start doing some more blogging. I have some ideas to write about recipes, meal-prep, interior design, fashion, and beauty tips. Hope to see you back here soon! :)
